Hi, I’m Evan 👋

I’m a Senior Product Designer based in Canada 🇨🇦, designing across fintech, AI, gaming, blockchain, and consumer products.

I currently lead design at Rank, a YC-backed fintech. Before that, I led product design for Hyper at Metaverse Magna, shaping a social gaming platform with 100,000+ active users, and served as the Founding Product Designer at Barrel, an AI-powered operations platform.

I care about clarity, craft, and character. My work sits at the intersection of product thinking, visual design, systems, and the small details that make digital experiences feel alive.

My process usually starts with noticing. I pay attention to where users hesitate, where expectations break, where the interface feels unclear, and where the product is assuming too much. From there, I map the logic, separate the concerns, explore different directions, and design at the right level of fidelity for the decision in front of me.

I try not to stop at the first good answer. I like to explore range before going deep, then refine the strongest direction until it feels obvious, calm, and easy to use. The goal is not just to meet the standard people expect from great software, but to push past it with care and intention.

AI has become one of my creative superpowers 🧠. I use it to think faster, explore wider, prototype better, and move from idea to execution with more focus. But I don’t treat AI output as final. I create fast, then edit slowly. Taste, judgment, and hands-on refinement still shape the final work.

Outside work, I’m usually hanging out with friends, playing CODM 🎮, taking photos 📸, or exploring creative ideas beyond Figma.
